I just hoped she looked at the success and chanda and Lindsay are having and realized that the effort to get better will in fact prolong her career and allow her to be better on the courts. It's not good seeing her just standing there and watching other players hitting the ball pass her and her not running to get them.

I think we should start a Petition to get monica the surgery and not retire. she need to know how we feel and maybe she would listen. I see her as a player for her fans and is willing to satisfy them too.

Should we go to her website or do we just sign something and send it to the wta or her management?

Let me know.....we need to get the ball rollin on this right away.

Surgery is not without its risks and the benefits are not guaranteed.

Anyway, if she rests long enough her fracture will heal anyway.

I think Monica should just take the rest of the year off and come back strong next year for her last year. :D

I think Monica should do whatever it is she thinks she needs to do, and we, her fans should accept that.

As his contact info is like "totally public" you can do your e-mail campaign to her (IMG) agent Tony Godsick (tgodsick@imgworld.com), but count me out, Mac. I support whatever decision Monica makes and don't think she owes anyone else anything. It is sad, though.

It up to Monica what she wants to do.

No offence to Chanda or Lindsay but Monica has achieved a lot more in her career so she doesn't need to keep playing to improve Monica has her record.I think Monica should just rest.If her foot is ready fo LA she should play it if not withdraw!

I think Monica should fully heal by surgery or rest, train, then come back and see if she can compete without pain or a recurrance of the injury...If not, I'm afraid it's time to retire...

I just want her to know our fans are behind her no matter what but if she gonna compete better then needs the surgery.
