It has been a pretty good year and a half for Asian Women's tennis, Sugiyama at her career best, almost in the top 10, the wonder woman of tennis won Scottsdale singles and doubles, winning 4 matches in 1 day. Tanasugarn winning her first title, Tylyaganova trying to get back where she belongs, All Chinese final in Vienna, Asagoe reach her first final in Birmingham, Widjaja won her 1st pro tournament she entered, Cho breaking the top 50... Prakusya and Lee qualified in the Championship in LA, and many more... It has been a good start for asian tennis, hope plenty more to come.

It would be an icing on the cake, if Su-Wei got herself together. She should've been in the top 100 by now.:(

Congrats to everyone, though!

well, Asians are late bloomers.........
plus she actually made her debut on WTA with a title,
and she already owned 2 titles, i would call that a break through,
there are some in TOP 20 who only has one title,
she might still be growing even though she is 18

btw, as bad as her recent results sound,
it's not her fault she cant find clay court to practice on,
hopefully she will start to show why hardcourt is her fav surface,
especially the Asian hardcourts.....
plus she has to work on her fitness too
