Do they, except Anna?:p
Do players wear makeup on court?Vincent Jun 14th, 2003, 02:06 PM Do they, except Anna?:p FLL Jun 14th, 2003, 02:13 PM How could Anna wear make-up  She wears sun-block all the time. Plus, how could any player wear make up playing? When it's hot and humid, it would all run down their face.. decemberlove Jun 14th, 2003, 02:15 PM anna used to wear makeup on court... around wimby last year she was wearing it. but shes stopped since then, and thank god, cos it was rather ugly and unnecessary. FLL, there is waterproof and sweatproof makeup available out there. tennisjam Jun 14th, 2003, 02:16 PM guess not, it's very bad for the skin's functions... That's why Anna can't win her matches,...her skin can't breath properly... ;) ajayares Jun 14th, 2003, 02:20 PM anna used to wear makeup on court... around wimby last year she was wearing it. but shes stopped since then, and thank god, cos it was rather ugly and unnecessary. I think you need to clarify this. In your opinion she did, other opinions like mine, suggested she didn't. So we will agree to disagree. decemberlove Jun 14th, 2003, 02:27 PM I think you need to clarify this. In your opinion she did, other opinions like mine, suggested she didn't. So we will agree to disagree. its pretty obvious in the pics below that shes wearing make-up... ask any woman. top left FO 02, bottom left wimby 02 [make-up] middle aus 01, right aus 02 [natural] i did this a while ago to prove a point on the anna k boards. i dont understand why people are so sensitive about it. well, i do, but its ridiculous. edit: thats you oct, isnt it? FLL Jun 14th, 2003, 02:34 PM It's ironic cuz my mother is a make-up artist and she says that she could be wearing some but she doesn't think... Lips - Yes, they are red but many chapstick's(cherry, etc.) color your lips whether you want it or not. And if she would be wearing lipstick, I wouldn't mind cuz it hydrate your lips and prevent them from breaking all over the place... Eye-lashes - The are dark like she would be wearing make-up but some people(like me) who are blond have very dark eye-lashes. If you look at both before and after thing, her lashes are still dark. Final answer - NO MAKE-UP FLL Jun 14th, 2003, 02:35 PM And your exemples are not really good.. The ''natural'' pics quality are not that good.... S-T-E-V-E Jun 14th, 2003, 02:40 PM Myriam Casanova wear some make-up, I think in Indian Wells this year! Lee-Waters' Boy Jun 14th, 2003, 02:47 PM the girl who used to wear the most makeup is andrea temesvari. ill look fora pic of her and post it ajayares Jun 14th, 2003, 02:50 PM edit: thats you oct, isnt it? yes sadie it is, but I am sure you knew who I was, but don't tell anyone else ;) As I said on that board at the time, she may have had some lipstick on, but I have to agree with FLL comments in regards to the eye-lashes. But as I said, we will agree to disagree it isn't important, it just isn't "fact" that she has or had, everyone's going to have an opinion. Lee-Waters' Boy Jun 14th, 2003, 02:50 PM http://www.igs.net/~bmitchell/Tennis/Temes/andrea09.jpg well this doesnt show it too well but she used to pile it on Peter M Jun 14th, 2003, 02:51 PM Capriati has. It looked quite strange. irma Jun 14th, 2003, 02:54 PM nailpolish is something that you see a lot CanadianBoy21 Jun 14th, 2003, 04:04 PM Hingis used to. I've seen it on tv, she had a zit and she put make up over, it was very visible. per4ever Jun 14th, 2003, 04:05 PM Jelena, definitly!!!!! Havok Jun 14th, 2003, 05:28 PM Jelena, definitly!!!!! nah i don't think so Rollo Jun 14th, 2003, 05:36 PM Andrea Temesvari! Thanks Lee-Waters Boy:) As for women wearing make-up, I imagine a lot of depends on when and where. Indoors it would be easier. Hendouble Jun 14th, 2003, 05:56 PM I hate to bring up Capriati's name in vain, but she did have the most disastrous make-up job on to celebrate her first ever match as world no. 1, which she promptly lost to Testud in the quarter-finals of the Championships in Munich in 2001. I don't want to be unkind, but the heavy eyeshadow and lip gloss made her resemble a lady of dubious virtue rather than a lady of dubious serve. Elleke Jun 14th, 2003, 06:20 PM Myriam casanova in Antwerp inge Jun 14th, 2003, 06:49 PM kim and justine once when they were playing an exhibition match in Belgium SJW Jun 14th, 2003, 07:07 PM i saw Anna had it on in Collins Cup in December in Dublin.... her towel had turned orange/brown auntie janie Jun 14th, 2003, 07:14 PM Some players do, some players don't. Kournikova has on black Eyeliner and Mascara in those pics, as any woman who has ever worn make-up can clearly see. Can't blame men for not recognizing it; that's the whole idea for make-up, isn't it? ;) I don't anything wrong with players wearing make-up on court, though. Though I personally prefer the natural look and think it is probably better for the skin to leave it off, if girls like to wear it, they should. Some women feel naked without their make-up on. :) jenny161185 Jun 14th, 2003, 10:18 PM thats waht I was going to say serenajwilliams - my sister was watching on telly and she was laughing saying how much make up kournikova had on ! SJW Jun 14th, 2003, 10:24 PM thats waht I was going to say serenajwilliams - my sister was watching on telly and she was laughing saying how much make up kournikova had on ! LMFAO! it was funny! :D her match vs Monica was cool :) jenny161185 Jun 14th, 2003, 10:42 PM Yeah that what I dont get sahe gave monica a tough two set match and she seemed to be playing well thats why I thought she'd do well this year , poor girl hope she can stay injury free and make up free!!!!! | |
