Tatiana Panova & Corina Morariu withdraws...

Wasn't Corina awarded a wild card today? Why would they do that if she already withdrew?

I thought Tatiana missed the FO due to a fever? What's wrong now?

Keovathong might pull out, Kournikova might pull out, Shenay Perry might pull out

Barbara Schwartz looked at a tennis court and is out for Wimbledon and the US Open  :p

What's wrong with Shenay that she might pull out??

Shenay got a ligament injury during her first round qualy match against Nathalie Vierin today and retired midway through the match. Qualies are in 4 days, so she may be OK by then, just not at 100%

will get into MD for sure.....:)

the injury came at RG ... that's the only time they have both played against one another

Anne Keothavong will probably not pull out, there is more chance that Elena Baltacha will pull out because of her bad back

corina ddint withdraw. she was given a wildcard as her ranking is still around the 230 mark. I guess she has used up all her special exempt events.

Baltacha and Keothavong have both been cleared. They retired at B'ham as a precaution, not neccessity. They could ahve played if they really wanted to but withdrew in case they made it worse.

Tatiana Panova & Corina Morariu withdraws...
What's your source for this?

I haven't heard any news about Tatiana for ages. A bit worrying.

you only get 1 exemption for a SLAM, Corina used hers at Roland Garros.

Not heard anything specific about Tatiana withdrawing

Pretty sure Anne Kremer won't play before her 6 months are up so she gets a SR.

I'm not sure that Iva Majoli is still playing either sadly..... Her highest current ranking points are from her 3rd rnd finish at Wimby last year, so this won't help her already falling ranking. I hope she shows up!

seles, kremer and diaz-olivia confirmed withdrawls.

kournikova will no doubt wait until day before.

I heard that Panova had to leave to Australian during Roland Garros because she though that someone was following her steps. I think she's got any kind of syndrome that makes her believe that everyone is following her.
I heard this from Eurosport.

kournikova will no doubt wait until day before.

Of course, she does it all the time

She will either withdraw later today, or before the draw is done on Tuesday, If she withdraws after Tuesday a LL will get her place. Surely she has every right to decide if she is able to play or not and leave it as long as possible?
For the record I would be surprised if she played.

Still bitter over Birmingham I guess, since you said she wasn't going to show up at all? oh but I am sure you will claim that she always wasn't going to play

I think that she suffers a paranoic illness. She believes that everyone follows her and wants to hurt her. I don't know if there's been a stalker before so she could be afraid, but I don't remind Eurosport News saying so.

Yoel etc.

Oh, that's really terrible. I knew there had to be something strange when she was only said to be "sick" without specifics. I must admit that my initial thought was something else which thankfully wasn't the case. But this sounds terrible as well.

On the WTA official site, under her profile, they write that she has withdrawn from Eastbourne and Wimbledon because of "illness". Now two Slams lost. This is really hurting her career. But the main thing is to get professional treatment as soon as possible.

However, I would like to see more details. Eurosport seems to be the only news outlet to have reported this.
