This site is really slow when it has over 250 members online. Is it just me? It takes a little over 2 minutes to load a thread? Help! ;)

No, it's not just you. The site is running like a dead dog.

Right now I'd settle for two minutes per refresh. Most often it just times out.

Of course, all those affected won't be able to get here to report it. I guess those using a high-speed (broadband) connection won't be affected.

It doesn't matter if you have broadband, this board is slow as fuck.

but yesterday, the board was slow even 2 hours after the ladies matches.... ?? it couldn't be coz of the live scores then?

The board always has a 'slow time' I think.

I can understand the board being a little slow during a GS especially the final, but the board seems to carry on being slow even when the people have left. I have braodband, and I still have slowdown when there are little over 100 members online.

We're aware the site is running painfully slow at present. There are issues we're investigating as a matter of urgency and trying to restore normal service to you as quickly as possible. Rest assured, we do realise how frustrating slow loading pages are and we're doing everything possible to find a resolution.

Unfortunately, we can't throw money at the problem and upgrade hardware as our available budget is exactly $0. :( These are the problems that come with running a very popular site on an extremely low budget.

Thanks Amanda :) . I am just happy that the site be back. Because I have been receiving error messages informing that the database was under repair before  .

Glad to see all is back to normal :D .

I agree. I'd rather have a slow site than no site.

Keep up the good work, Amanda, we all appreciate it :)

How can your budget be $0? Don't you get money from pop-ups and banner ads?

Also I would like a free WTASTARS t-Shirt!

thanks! :bounce:

Can someone help me? I can't open the attachments anymore since the site is renewed. Even the smile are red crosses. Please help me?

Thanks, Gert.
