She left right after Paris, and was taking "at least" 10 days off where she didn't train or even touch her racket. Those 10 days should be about up, but no new information since then.

i really hope she's okay... i mean more emotionally but yes physically too. i cant imagine how sad she must feel to leave her 2 favorite tournaments the way she has this year. especially since she finally says that retirement is not unreasonable. thank God there's other tennis on or i think we would all be stressing about monica way too much.

get better, monica!

let us hope that this 10 days off will have a better result for her. i hope this injury will go away and heal faster.

i actually hope she plays wimbledon (i might be the only one) bc she needs to give it a final goodbye. it seems like this IS the last year, which is totally sad. best bet is a career rebound like she did in 2001 summer hardcourt season.

It will be the final goodbye if she keeps on playing events her body isn't ready for.

Monica is no good when she it not fit. When she can not run, she has no shot.

I don't think she has enough in her to climb up the rankings again. She would have to play the whole summer hard court season.

Monica is too slow now. I love her, but it's time for me to let go as a fan.

I thought she was taking care of her injuries!

i know that she's not the same player anymore but i still believe in her and i can't replace her for somebody. i will always be her fan no matter what. if and when she retires, i'll respect her decision. she deserves to go out with a bang. she doesn't deserve to walk away from tennis just like that. i still love monica!
