What is up bis, is that YOU underestimated Conchita saying she stood no chance. Meanwhile, Conchita has taken the first set off your beloved Lindsay, 6-4.

Vamos Conchita!!!!

Lindsay

I'm so happy for Conchita - the 31 year old (who should have retired in 1999  ) is back in a Grand Slam quarterfinal!

This is mY happiest tennis moment since the French Open 3 years ago - and we all know how far Conchi got that year! ;)

CONCHITA MARTINEZ - 2003 FRENCH OPEN CHAMPION - SORT OF HAS A RING TO IT - DONTCHA THINK! :)

I'm not a big fan of either player (though I favored Conchita in this matchup) and I could see this coming a mile away. I'm surprised Lindsay's fans couldn't.

well, good for Martinez, too bad about Lindsay's health. Hopefully she'll get better for the grass courts.

i didn't think a healthy Lindsay would lose this match. Still don't.

i thought the commentators on the french TV said she retired due to the heat...

Maybe they didn't know about the injury to her toe, she said last night she was going to give the match a try.

But that's just it... Lindsay was undeniably injured before this match even took place. Conchita would have taken advantage by moving her all over the court with the famous slice/dice/moonball tactic. Clay would have mitigated Lindsay's ability to dictate play.

I doubt the heat will effect Lindsay as she grew up in a hot climate.

She hasn't retired from the doubles yet, so there is some hope:)

I heard something about a toe strain, but I also heard something about a nerve in her foot? Which is it, and how do you strain a toe?

Anyway....get better Lindsay
