Could she be seeded outside the top16? or will they make a special case for her and move her up a few spots?

Also can someone tell me how the draw works? If someone is at no.16 or no.17, how would they be placed in the draw, what would be the difference in terms of advantage/disadvantage?

Don't even expect her to play...If she does, don't expect her to get a special condition since she isn't really a threat here, and she's never won before...So yes, she'll be seeded outside the top 16...

If I were her, I'd take a rest until the hard court season.

As of right now, she would be seeded 17. She'd have to face a top 16 seed in the 3rd round.

I`m not sure but I think I`ve heard it is possible to lift a player up, 4 spots if I am right. Wimbledon has always used it`s special seeding system.

If Monica decides to play she will be for sure seeded in the Top 16. I think they will seed her 10th/11th/12th - to avoid Monica to play a Top 4 seed player in the fourth round.

They wouldn't change her seed. She has only got past the Quarterfinals once, quite frankly, she probably wouldn't deserve it.

I doubt Monica will play either. In fact, I bet it is her last year.
