And then even before them

Ruano
Habsudova(though given her form no real suprise,heck shoulda beat ASV
Dragomir(tho coming in she'd been to the last 16 for
literally like the past 4 yrs,and got to a few more after this
Majoli(winning)

So some have been outta the blue(Schwartz-Ritter,Mandula
Marrero
While others havent(Dragomir,Habsudova,Lina

so this year remans to be seen.....

The surprise QFist will only be a surprise if you go by the rankings, otherwise it's a no-brainer...

I don't think Safina is an impossibility, although I'd agree that Conchita is more likely (although hardly a huge suprise)

i think safina has a chance and lina k because she wuld probably be facing mauresmo in the 2nd round and she never plays well at RG so if lina can play well then she might get through. i also think tulyaganova has a chance because i think she could have a match with davenport in the 2nd round and since clay isn't davenports best surface i've picked iroda to win but i'm not holding my breath.
