Look at how much Tatiana has bulked up!!

She needed some more muscle to make a dent in the game, and now she's playing great! :D

Hoping for a nice draw and some wins! :hearts:

she is very powerful at wimbledon last year in her match against schnyder she hit a serve at 114mph which is right up there with the top players. i've only seen her play once and that was a doubles match but she had very powerful groundies as well. there wasn't much volleying in that match. i hope that she can work on her volleys because she has that big serve and being able to volley will really help her out in the future especially at wimbledon.

Yes that's when I first noticed Tatiana as well! She had that match in her hands against Patty and lost it! :( She still gave a pretty good fight though in the 3rd. :) But yes I really love her service motion it's so crisp and fluid. She has a very flat and powerful forehand and I think her only weaknesses at that time was her backhand and movement. Hopefully she improved that over the break because look how well she has played this year!

BTW thanks for the pic! She looks awesome! :hearts:

She played an unbelievable first set (that's why I'm here). I think all the people that were on that court no.2 fell in love with her game :D

Someone called Martinez is her 1st round opponent :(

Might have been easier but on positive side she has nothing to lose.

Looking "bit" ahead she´ll play Gagliardi/Poutchek in the 2nd round and then Dokic,Davenport and Clijsters in that order.

I'm not sure if I want to look ahead :o Pffff Conchita  I'd preferred Venus or some other...

Let's see if the some of the people that posted here come to post here again ;)

AHH!!

Out of all the players! :( But as said she has nothing to lose so she can go all out going for her shots, if she wins she wins if she loses she loses. But here's to wishing Tatiana the best of luck! :)

Hay you guys, have you seen this thread? Roland Garros 0R Rankings (http://www.wtaworld.com/showthread.php?postid=1921859)

There says that, right now, after the qualies, she's ranked 82nd :bounce:
I'm sure they're going to change (for good ;)), but, damn, that's good :D

I hope here in Spain we could get some images... but it's quite unlikely to happen

It doesn't seem to be such a bad court, as there are matches featuring French players, but, who knows.

Tatiana lost
She was very unlucky with the draw, but I think it surely hasn't been such a bad tournament for her

Good Luck on doubles now :bounce:

If she had taken those BPs that she had in the 1st set...

Yes Tatiana had a great first 3 matches in qualifying and fought back a little in that 2nd set against Conchi. :(

Now it's time for dubs! :)

Central
May 27th, 2003, 03:37 PM
She played quite well (it seems...) at the beginning of the first set, but as she wasn't able to break, and she was broken on Conchi's first chance, everything went dark suddenly.

Tatiana plays her doubles match tomorrow, 5th on court no.11, v.Jeyaseelan/Kostanic, with Koulikovskaya (they won together that Saint-Gaudens tourny, so...)

Good luck Tatiana :bounce:

Tatiana was sick in the night before her match against Martinez, she called her coach and her coach called a doctor, because she had problems with a stomach-virus!!!

OMG didn't Tatiana have something similar like that in Hobart this year!?? She showed real promise when she won 3 qualifying matches to get into the main draw, then she upset Gagliardi in the first round very easily..until the next round she had to withdrew against Frazier for I think a stomach virus as well.

Poor girl she didn't play the same until March where she found her form again..let's hope she recovers from this fast! But good luck in her dubs match tomorrow :)

Yes, she retired from that tournament and then lost badly on 1st round of qualies at OZ...

Come on, two times the same season is too much :(
