Their little-known version of "I'll Plant My Own Tree" is great, but not as good as mine!

It has to be Dancing Queen, especially the bit where they go "...feel the beat of the tambourine...oo-oo-ooh yeah..."...it's the oooh yeah that does it for me. And Take A Chance On Me and SOS. And the others.

"Our Last Summer" - immensely sweet
"Super Trouper" - sheer brilliance, fantastic vocals
"Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" - one of the finest pop songs ever made, actually a highly sophisticated composition that I have seen praised by reputed music critics
"Angel Eyes" - cute and catchy
"Fernando" - so beautiful
"S.O.S." - quality, quality pop
"Crazy World" - highly atypical ABBA song with male vocals
"Andante, Andante" - a slow classic, great love song
"Me And I" - another supreme tune from their best album
"Lay All Your Love On Me" - ditto
"Eagle" - nice and dreamy
"The Visitors" - the mature ABBA
"Head Over Heels" - also the late sound

I like most of their really big hits as well, although I have heard some of them a bit too much. "The Winner Takes It All" is probably my favorite of those.

Their best album by far is "Super Trouper", what a masterpiece that is. The pinnacle of ABBA's achievements and in my mind the best pop album ever.

Second would have to be the earlier "Arrival" - with 'Dancing Queen', 'Money, Money, Money', and 'Fernando'.

"The Visitors" is also nice if you want to stay clear of their best-known songs.

As you can hopefully tell, I'm a fairly big ABBA fan. But in fact I didn't fully discover them until around 2000. I never really gave them time of day before that - too much 70's and parental generation over them - even though I secretly liked some of their songs.
