Tony sang it to Jennifer at the nightclub when he first met her, even though she was with one of her rich older boyfriends. It was love at first sight, even though after the performance, Miriam told Tony that at night, all cats look gray. Then later, when Jennifer overdosed on the blue ones while looking in the mirror, she was playing it in her head, but it sounded really good, just like Tony!

Neely of course had to nose in on it and she sang it at the sanitarium, and it actually roused Tony from his coma at the social hour (why does someone in a coma go to social hour) and they sang it at the sanitarium together as a duet. When the song ended, Tony slipped back into his coma.
