The rehearsal of the t.A.T.u. girls went not as the others. The girls sang false, there was no act at all and the press conference ended up as a complete mess. Is it to confuse the audience and the press or... ?

During the rehearsal, Yulia stopped singing all the time while Elena went on. The girls were just standing on the stage doing nothing but singing a little, which was sometimes even false.

The press attention during the rehearsel was overwhelming, just like the attention from the LTV and EBU staff. During the 'performance' the usage of light is limited to many white spots on the grey stage, under the stage floor images appear of a vulcano from the top.

During the press conference there was huge attention again, so many that the EBU people had to send photographers and cameramen to other places. During the press conference there was applause sometimes, but also boo-calling.

A Piece of seperate information from the press conference.

A journalist asked them: How do find latvia?
T.a.t.u: The stage is a crap, Latvia is a crap, everything here is a crap!

Actually their entry is not my type and their erotico-lolito-pseudolesbian antics are even less my cup of tea, but their song (if they sing it decently) is the most impressive of the bunch - I didn't write "the best".

They can't sing, i saw them in HMV in London some time ago, they 'sang' in play back. And their 'fuck all' attitude is getting boring, i find it sad everybody's falling for it. They are just two stupid girls who think they're cool playing the rock stars and trying hard to shock. Ah i guess their manager asked them to act this way to get more publicity, it's clever cos it works very well.

Totally agree with Dahveed. They're a right pair of ****s, and they're recent behaviour is starting to show them up as rude, uneducated and stupid. Anyone read the recent Q article on them? It was hilarious.

I did, hence my comments ;)

I mean, okay they play the girls who are impossible to talk to, fine! Then don't interview them, they're happy, we're delighted.

It would not suprised me if Latvian TV threw them ou of the Eurovision for saying that. LTV have spent huge amounts of money on the contest and it is unfair for one of the contestants to criticise them in that way. It just shows how arrogant they are. And if any of this pretending to be lesbians and kissing happens live on Saturday night, LTV have said they will show the recording of the rehearsal, that would be fun to watch.

I can't believe I'm mildly interested in the Eurovision Song Contest :o

Wasn't their British tour cancelled recently due to lack of interest? I think they are pretty much a fading act, and the Eurovision is an attempt to get the publicity machine back on track.

But I still think they submitted a highly interesting song with a completely different sound than anything else on the evening (love the fact that it's in Russian). It does resemble "All the Things She Said" quite a bit, but that's sort of their musical style. However, one thing is the studio version, another thing entirely what they are capable of doing live.

I thought they might be able to win the competition, but on second thought I really don't see how. It lacks the happy, sing-along qualities of a typical televoting winner, and it's probably much too noisy and modern for a large share of the viewers.

I quite like them. And I can't really blame them for not taking Eurovision seriously. People complain they're manufactured...like, duh!

They have also described the German Singer as "an ugly old hag" Now that is just uncalled for :(
