JAne Wong low in confidence

'I don't seem to be able to hit a ball right now, maybe it is exhastion, but I really need some more match practice.'

'Next year, I think I will discuss with ruflina and maybe we can cut one or two clay tournament in the middle so we can have some breathing space.'

sorry for short article guys, final exams (I gues sit is the same as most people, but I will be out in full force again from next tuesday ;) )

Former top10 Larissa Liashenko predicts this week's tournament

http://photos.wtaworld.com/data/532/16842dani-beauty.jpg

Reuteurs

Qualifying

The first qualifying spot will be won by Joana Seles for sure, said a confident Liashenko looking at the qualifying draw. She is playing amazing tennis and I don't think anyone in her part can beat her

For the second available spot, Liashenko predicted junior Juliana Lapentti to win it. She is for sure the best junior claycourter and that gives her an mental edge against anyone even if she is only a junior.

1st Round

Joana Seles will probably beat Sabine since this is clay and it's a nightmare for Sabine. I don't see her winning a set in that one. But the grass is comming and she'll do damage for sure, said Liashenko

For the match between Herrera and Eggert, Liashenko said that she believes Eggert can win but it all depends on how she plays. I will go with Eggert finally said Liashenko

I've played Ruflina a million times said Liashenko laughing. I know she can play, she added. She predicts Taliamanosoko to win in straight set. She won't have problems with Whitten, she finally added.

Gianna is a great player, especially on clay, mentionned the Belarussian. She is predicting Dulko to roll past her WC entry opponent from France.

For the match between Selles and Masterton, Liashenko was nodding her head. I don't know, she said. After thinking about it for a while she decided to go with Masterton in 3. It's a toss up in my opinion, she said.

Lapentti vs. Wong could be a really interesting match, said a very excited Larissa. Jane won the French two years ago and Juliana is the favourite to win it in the juniors this year. I will go with experience, finally decided Liashenko

--------------------

Liashenko hopes her predictions are right, but no matter how well she does, she'll predict the second round results! I had a great time with Larissa.

I'm dissapointed even though I got some great grades like 98 @ English and 93 @ Physics which were the highest in my class... I got not so good ones in the subjects I needed to do great so I didn't had to do the final exam

Tomorrow I have my last 2 exams... one of them is tough as I need a good exam because this teacher puts me bad critera  and the other is my extra-class so spinning which I obviously don't have to study. I expect to put results today in the night as Im explain a friend some things for an exam she has to do and then I must study.

OMG, Gianna is in the singles and doubles final!

WHat a debut for Joanna and Gianna, making the final and beating the no.1 team in the world (Gianna's third win over them). :D :D

What a tough loss though in the final, to lose 7-6(5)in the third. :( But I am so happy for us! :D

Incredible :)

I hope we do not have a let down though in RG

'I am glad I manage two wins this week in singles. Gianna is playing the best tennis of her life and she will be tough. I wish her and Angie best of luck in the final.'

'I am so happy that me and Ruffy won our fifth clay title of the year, the feeling is incredible, almost feel like crying here.'

'But we are not counting on anything in RG, we will be hunted, we have to be on our guard all the time.'

VAMOS RUFLINAJANE :D

I would never imagined to win 5 doubles titles this year. This is absolutely amazing for Jane and me to do so well.

We are very nervous about Roland Garros as we are the defending champion, and for me, I am the two-time defending champion, so we are nervous and excited at the same time.

But I also wanna say that Jane has done so well, she is the reason for the success this year, so GO JANE (laughter)!

Sorry Anjie! Wow, this was a great tournament, winning the singles and losing 7-6 in the third in the doubles final!

Gianna's response:

"I am so proud of myself. This has been such a great tournament. I really played well in both singles and doubles and it really showed in my results. I had some big wins over Jane, and today's win over Anjelica, so I am really happy with this performance."
