Who will win???

This could go either way; their h-2-h is tied at 3-3, and Ai has won the last 2 matches (including a few months ago). Ai really seems to give Kim problems, for some reason.

Still, Kim has blitzed through the tournament so far, and this isn't a final so nerves shouldn't be a factor like they were in Scottsdales. Therefore, I pick Kim to win (though the #2 ranking thing could add some pressure).

I am looking forward to this match!
I like both girls.
If this was last year or so, it could be easily Kim's win. but lately Ai has suprised us sometimes.
On her website, she mentioned she's getting her own way of playing on this surface and she's enjoying it. I guess it shows up on this tourney.
Best of luck for both of them!! :bounce:

i think sugiyama has to be playing well to get to a SF of a Tier I CLAY event

and i think she gives Kim problems

but Kim still is the heavy fave

I think even if people think Ai could win mostly everyone thinks Kim is going to win, but I don't think so. I think Kim is heavily favored but Ai is her doubles partner and someone who has beaten her before [and very recently]. Ai is also a veteran. Ai gives Kim a lot of problem when they play as well! I think Ai is going to win this match up in three sets.

I picked Kim, although I want Ai to prove me wrong. (Please do Ai, sorry to have less faith in ya...)

go kimmy!

This match-up should be very interesting because Ai appeared strong in Scottsdale. However I think Kim should edge her out considering her recent impressive perforamce in the clay tournaments.
