View Full Version : Here we post our Fave/Best movies...

May 15th, 2003, 02:46 AM
I must say that I can't choose only one so my BOTH favourites (and personally the best I've ever seen) are:

1. Contact (Jodie Foster)
UNBELIEVABLE MOVIE. It's completely undescribable, Jodie acts marvellously and the story is really touching. After finishing the movie there's nothing left but a feeling of hope. Besides it's so deep, I love the way the religion and science are stitched... you can analyse it and feel identified in many ways.

2. Shine (Geoffry Rush, don't know sp.)
This is a MUST SEE movie, weather you like music or not. I play the pėano, so for me it's outrageous. The best music EVER and the story itself it's very very sad and touching at the same time. The only time I EVER saw my father crying was in this movie. It has an amazing ending.

So... what's the movie that you can't get enough of? That you can see over and over and not get tired?

The 1942 Film Classic Starring Alida Valli, Rossano Brazzi, and Fosco Giachetti
Set in the chaotic aftermath of the Russian revolution, WE THE LIVING is the story of a young woman who courageously defies a brutal regime. It is an extraordinary tale of romance and betrayal and, at its core, a fierce and impassioned outcry for the right of each human being to live free. Alida Valli's luminous portrayal of a sexually independent heroine was both daring and groundbreaking for its time.
