View Full Version : FELLOW POSTERS: When you were a child, who (famous or not) did you have a crush on?

MarcusRock

So tell me who you had romantic crushes on as a child. What are some of the stupid things you did to proclaim your "love." Or did you ever? I'm more interested in the famous crushes but if there are interesting stories involving nobodies then that's cool too. I'll start.

Famous people: Judy Garland from The Wizard of Oz, Kim Fields from "The Facts of Life" TV show (yeah I watched it, so what?)

Nobodies: Ms. Torres, my 4th Grade teacher

Of course Judy Garland went on to die from being a druggie and the last I heard, Kim Fields was a divorced heffer. No word on Ms. Torres but seeing how my famous curshes turned out, she probably got deported or something :D

My first celeb crush was Boy George when I was 2 or 3 years old. I kept telling everyone he was my boyfriend. I think thats where the lesbian side of me started cos even though I was calling him my boyfriend I still thought he was a girl.

And then I had a crush on Karen Carpenter when I was about 5 or 6 and that was weird cos she'd been dead years. And as talented as she was she wasn't that cute but hey!

Then I had a thing for Steffi Graf when I was about 10 cos she had pretty hair.

Then I was obsessing over Shannon Miller for a while cos she had pretty hair as well.

Then in about 1994 my Monica crush started and when she came back it developed into love and we WILL be together!

And thats it as a kid.

Depends what you mean by child...I think Nick Kamen (remember him?) may have been one of the first to um...wake my trouser snake. *cough*

Then I saw Javier Bardem in Jamon Jamon and I'd never be the same again ;) I was 16 by that point though, and more than a bit impressionable.

batman! no doubt! batman, hands down! you know, the adam west one, not the cartoon. oh, how i swooned at the re-runs showing how every prism of light bounced off of his rubber suit.

i used to write love letters to him, and then leave them on a table by the window in my bedroom hoping that he would fly/swing by sometime during the night and read it. i'd sneak my mom's lipstick, rub it on my lips and kiss the note while drawing arrows to the lips saying "for batman."

now i look back and think wtf was i thinking????

No, the Red Sox have collapsed on a much grander scale, I mean Bill Bu

NO NO NO!! MAKE IT STOP!!!! THIS SLIM SHADY KID IS ON MY TV AGAIN!!!! STOP IT!!!!!!!!

Ok, where was I? Oh ok. In the 1986 World Series the Jumbotron accidently flashed a Congratulations to the Sox for winning the World Series. The Cubs haven't even made it that far since 1945 (which is completely pathetic). However, the Sox have to constantly be in the shadow of the greatest team in sports history. By far worse than anything the Cubbies have to deal with. Hell, the White Sox just as bad.

I wasn't criticizing Gracey. I like him. But funny that you mention Bourque. Both he and Grace won their championships with a different team and did it by beating my team in Game 7. Fuckers.

I think the shaving of the head is much cooler than the alternatives. A guy at work (yes, I can use "a guy at work" as an example for most everything) prefers the greasy combover. If I ever resorted to that I would want to be shot in the head.
