They both had a great Wimbledon 99 (???) tournament

But they both seems have a problem to stay on the TOP 10/30 ? why ?

DOKIC , maybe her father influent

STEVENSON , perhaps she is too close to the williamses ;) and it wouldn't make her as powerful/strong as they are

You can't really compare the 2 as Alex hasn't achieved half of what Jelena has on court.

Alex WAS the V and Rena. She could hit the ball with power, and sometimes it would go in sometimes it would miss by miles. Now the Williams' have honed their talent, and the ball is now landing in. Alex is still wild as ever, and although she can get on a role, it only seems to last a small time.

Jelena is still talented, she is inconsistant but she is less so then Alex, I think people are forgetting that she made the QF's of Miami, Charlestone and got to the semi's of Warsaw, all of which are top events.

I have seen Jelenas last 3 matches. I’m afraid her play currently is much closer to Alex’s way of playing then you may think. :(

when they are good, they are good
when they are bad, they are bad

They are similar in the sense that they are both struggling this year, and they are similar in the type of game they have. both baselines...that have one plan: hit the ball hard, and hit the ball harder

I think right now Dokic had a lil proble with her life.. so her recent loss was probably because of that.. Believe me, when she's cooling down, she'll kick ass :bounce:

For Alex, I think she had deproved :confused:As Far AS I know, she hit balls really hard and it's just a matter of consistency!!

Well, maybe you should strive to make, I don't know, A VALID POINT with your next thread. Might help everybody stop thinking that you're an imbecile.

I agree they have similar problems, but for me their higher ranks have been OVERATED for both of them. Especially Jelena who once was ranked 4, despite she has been the better of the two, but she seems difficult to adopt a Champion´s attitude on the court, and that won´t help her at all, if she pretends to be a contender at a grand slam.

I wouldn`t say these player are similar in any way. Ever since that tournament dokic has grown and became a better play making TOP 10. This year has just been a bit slow for her. Whereas with Stevenson since that Wimbledon she hasn`t grown at all. She just hangs around the 30 mark with inconsistent play and losses to unbelievable players.

Dont know why this thread was made at all.
