she never announced her retirement like ASV did,
which bumps me to think that she might be able
to play a couple more events..............
if that's so, why not commit French Open.....

so the question i wanna ask is.......
IS THERE ANY CHANCE SHE PLAS FRENCH OPEN?

Virginia WHO??? Well its up to her but I can't see a thirtysomething player wanting to lug around a crying baby on the tour.Winning on the tour is difficult enough! :wavey:

next yr?.........will she be able to join the Olympic team?......:)
man, she is kinda old though now though, but still pretty consistent,
but then look at Dragomir's comeback, that was pretty bad....:p

I doubt that Dragomir is comparable due to the fact that Sandrine stepped back when being top20 and being competitive with most of the players.

Dragomir though got injured and suffered a setback since then. I think she did the right thing to test herself in minor events. Maybe she should limit herself to the clay this season and re-start on challenger level and tier IV/V after Wimbledon.

I think that Sandrine is still a compettitor who can compete in high level tennis and doesn't really need to play challengers to get back on track. I could see her getting wildcards and entries even into tier III or IV events.

I would love to see Sandrine play again, I would travel damn near anywhere for it, but I dunno if it would be such a good idea, she was a bit of an old lass in tennis terms when she retired last year. Will have to wait and see :)

bear in mind that these are just rumours that I heard, but there are people claiming that she may be playing doubles this year at edgbaston with roberta vinci! :)

Well whatever she does I really miss her, but hope she's happy with whatever she's doing now, and in the future :)
