Did anyone apart from our lucky Belgian amis actually see all of today's Berlin matches on TV? We seem to have had 2 great, competitive matches and as far as I can see they might as well have been played on Alpha Centauri (or in 1203) for all the coverage they got. Utterly amazing that German TV at least did not cover this.
Even if you got Eurosport the coverage was dire. The programme started late in the UK and ended early after 40 minutes. The commentary around the few bits of play we were allowed went something like:

"we join with Kim with 2 match points, er no, where are we? She will have in a minute, ah now she has. Jennifer breaks back, tiebreak, Kim looks devastated, now its half way througfh the final set, Kim has been broken, er now she has (magically) recovered the break and Jennifer is serving to stay in, but she doesn't - by the way she plays Justine, great match. Now over to the adverts and the boring bicycle rider....."

In a couple of weeks they will be moaning that they are only showing 6-1, 6-0 women's matches and cutting the coverage still further.
Looks like a serious problem to me - doesn't the WTA have anyone working on a media policy at all?

Hi, I saw both matches on a Frenchspeaking channel in Brussels, called AB3. Unfortunately I have no video otherwise I could have taped it and sent it to you. Also unfortunately, I don't know anyone here who is crazy enough to have watched both matches and taped them.
And yes, they were two fantastic matches and Eurosport shouldn't have showed anything if this was all they could show.

Yeah the coverage should be more intense now, and not the other way around!
