Mauresmo has a won one of one head to head matchups!

I think this will be tight match but I think Justine is just a notch above Amelie on clay right now. It should be a good match with some good tennis, though. Too bad espn won't be showing it!!! grrr....

Far too close to call. All the pressure lies with Justine. She's the higher ranked player, she's the clay goddess, this tournament is her chance to prove she can win the French Open. she said a lot by winning Hilton Head over Serena, now can she follow it up by winning Berlin over mauresmo and Kim/Jennifer?

I wish I could see this match.

*Points to post above*

Took the words right outa my mouth! I agree with henin being just a notch above amelia on the clay. Its going to be a hard fought match, I think Justine will win in 3 tight sets.

I am very nervous about this one! I LOVE both players :hearts:, but Justine is my #1 top fave, and she has these Champion points to defend, so I want her to take it. :)

A good test for both players, and a big confidence-booster to whoever wins it. I hope it is a terrific match and I hope we get DETAILED reports on it from those who are lucky enough to get to see it. Pretty please???

The way to beat Henin is to push her beyond the baseline, something I don't think Amelie can do. Henin 7-5 7-6(5).

I know were not supposed to take you seriously or anything, but what are you talking about? in Henin's match against Serena at FCC she played almost every point 2-3 feet behind the baseline!

It's PATHETIC that a poll about the SF of a 25K Challenger had 29 votes, this one re. a Tier I SF 19 votes, and both were posted @ about the same time. And it's not just because of the (unfair) Kournicopy stuff about Sharky, getting now to play "the original", blah, as Sea Island has been treated like its as big as Berlin here all week.

LOL, I know, it's totally out of control. But the frenzy won't last long. Anna does have to return to the Tour soon! And then the Challengers will lapse back into their usual quiet, and Anna still won't be beating any top-5 players; all will return to normal. ;)

Meanwhile, those who are more interested in ELITE-LEVEL TENNIS are ABSOLUTELY SALIVATING over this Juju-Amelie match-up that we have waited for, for SO long! :):):):):)

phew I don't want to choose but if forced I'll go with Justine in 3 tight sets. Momo might pull it off but I won't be surprised.

Justine is oozing with confidence now. After beating Serena in Charleston, she must be feeling she can beat anyone. I can foresee an All Belgian Final!
