Congrats kimmie. She must still be off/ a lil rusty, but hey, gurl is winning off and rusty ain't she? but she i will have to pick it up if she wants any chance at winning this tournie against the top players :)

i dont think she was playing that badly-she just played someone who is a good clay-courter. She picked her game up after 5-2 down-the result never looked in doubt. I would be interested to se her next match against Hantuchova-just to see how good daniella really is--the match i really want to see is Kournikova vs Hantuchova (i know they played twice before but no-one knew hantuchova- that would be an interesting match- not for purely tennis reasons :-)

wow, good match kim! :bounce:
it was great how she won the first set...it was as if she woke up at 2-5 (15-40), started to play perfect tennis and blew away Zuluaga.

Vamos, Kimmy! Nice fight back! Maybe she lost her concentration a bit in the first set.

You need to pick it up, Kim! Capitalize on the mistakes! :bounce:

Congrats Kim :)

I think Kim will have an easy time tomorrow. Dani might be a little better but she's no where close to what she can be ATM.

kim didn't play badly it was fabiola who played very well at the start
kim was a little lucky to get away at 2-5 but after that 8th game she was a completely different player .. she was just hitting winners froma anywhere :D

to her credit fabiola didn't give up she was broken at the beginning of the 2nd and kept it close ......finally kim broke to win in a marathon 9th game :)

she won't have many problems with daniela ;)
