Using the rule that must players play 3 lead ups and the French it would look like this:

1.Serena 507.50
2.Henin-Hardenne 256.70
3.Capriati 239.75
4.Williams 199.75
5.Mauresmo 171.75
6.Seles 127.75
7.Fernandez 119.17
8.Pierce 107.00
9.Davenport 98.25
10.Dokic 91.00
11.Dementieva 89.71
12.Zvonareva 88.63
13.Clijsters 85.25
14.Safina 83.75
15.Rubin 80.00
16.Pistolesi 78.25
17.Hantuchova 78.00
18.Coetzer 73.60
19.Suarez 72.60
20.Raymond 70.75
21Myskina 64.40
22.Farina-Elia 61.00
23.Zuluaga 58.71
24.Kuznetsova 58.2
25.Dechy 51.67
26.Serna 44.20
27.Chladkova 43.78

yeah, flatstat's list is more accurate when you're looking at surface rankings bc you can't really compare someone's points who has played two tournaments with someone who has played nine.

u should do average per tournament...some poepl lik ejelena are very inflated!

still jelena has had a reasonable clay season...should be a bit better

i understand that problem,
and that's why Hingis had such a controversy in 00,
but she was ranked #1 at the end of the year
recognized by WTA......

when someone does not grab the chance
to play more tournaments, it's their own fault
they dont get the ranking they can,

one more win will put Kim into TOP 15,
Vera has now exceeded Venus's ranking:)

she had 433 points here last year..so 66 points

she had 734 points with Rome + Berlin last year, she has 919 points now with Charleston + Berlin. Rome is all extra....same with RG

I'm not getting some of this stuff either... Is this a 52 weeks kinda ranking? And what's the last number? Number of tourneys played?

I thought so at first, but then it doesn't seem right, does it?

Um, Kim has a finals appearance in Berlin as well as a SF appearance in Rome. Both are Tier 1 events. She then has a 3rd round appearance (i.e. top 32) at the French. How does that equal such a low position - and below people like Zvonereva?

that's coz she only has 3 clay tournaments in a span of one year,
Rome's point has come off already, which means she has to gain
Rome which she is playing now, Berlin last week,
and 1st round exit in RG last yr

Chanda's upset is actually quite justified in this ranking,
since Emelie Loit is already ranked higher than Rubin
on clay even before she beat her in Rome.:)

The Crow

O Rome is already off? *thinking* Shouldn't Justine have 4 tourneys then: RG02, Charleston03, AI03 and Berlin03?

3 of the clay TOP 10 are playing in France
while Clarisa is in Spain.......

again Fabiola is unseeded, she is a pretty
big threat along with Ashley Harkleroad for seeds,

but other than these 2, Emelie and Patricia
are also pretty good on clay

Where did you get these record? Are they based on 52-wk result?[I would like to go checking out other surface's best.]

Justine has only 4 tournies on clay.
