Has anyone noticed that Virginia Ruano Pascual will become #1 next week.

The WTA sight shows Suárez losing 132 points next week and Virginia not losing any... so since they are playing together this week, Virginia should become number one... is that correct?

Well if this is true then congrats to Virginia. She surely deserves the #1 spot as much as Paola :)

Yes I checked the 2002 results. Paola reached the German Open SF teaming up with Tarabini.

No, Paola will still be #1 because Berlin'02 points (132) are not among her 11 best results, just check it on tenniscorner.net

Paola will stay at No 1 till San Diego. She defends 169 points there when she reached SF with Iroda Tulyaganova
