Nicoletta Lapentti thinking of retiring after the French Open

Nicoletta: I am seriously thinking about retiring after the French Open. Why? It's a combination of a lot of things. First, I have had no decent results since the Australian Open. I've been losing in qualifying and first round like 9 times in 10 tournaments this year and I don't feel motivated. Another that makes me want to step away is that Juliana is just playing so well at the moment that I feel that I'm in her way. Since the Ecuadorian governement only has enough money to sponsor one of us on the pro tour, I think she would perform better then me. So with that said, I thank you for being here and good luck!

'I can understand what Nicoletta is feeling.I had the same feeling last year but i stuck with it.Thanx in most part to Nicoletta and our success in doubles.If she has lost all hope then maybe retiring is a good option for her.I will miss her we have had a lot of fun over the past year and she has been a great friend.I hope if she does quite she keeps in contact'
