I ordered tickets for Thursday-Friday first week.

One hour ago I called the ticket office as I know how difficult it is to get the tickets.

Again so this year it appears. If I got it right, I missed out on my ticket for Thursday, but I was lucky enough to get the one for Friday :bounce:

It sure would be nice if we could meet! :D

no. the point is, i've also been to roland garros last year and we bought tickets at www.gotickets.com they were really expensive and only for "court annexes" i met people there who went to the stadium early in the morning (very early!!) and got tickets...for example for court chatrier for 23 euros. so i'm gonna try this. if not, you get "black" tickets every 5 metres!

So, which ticket did you get for Friday? i mean, which court?

I hope we'll meet! Who's your fav player? :wavey:

As a matter of fact the ticket I got is for Courts Annex only, but then I think it costs something like 18 €. We had that kind of ticket 3 years ago, and it made me realise that while the big stars are obviously on one of the show courts, I still got to see finalists Norman, Martinez, Schett, Navratilova, Clijsters/Hewitt. I did try to get tickets for the CSL on Thursday too, but I didn't manage to get any, not even a downgrade to Courts Annex. For me thats just fine, as I went there in 2000, but for the past two year I didn't manage to get a single ticket. I'm just happy to know I'll be on the grounds again.

I know that plenty of tickets are available on the black market, but from what I remember they really were quite expensive. I guess I just choose the least expensive option.

Good luck on getting a decent price ticket anyway.

My favourite player has to be Seles! I hope to see her play once more. Then of course it would be nice to see Davenport play as she has to be the only current top 15 player I never saw live.

BTW Have you had many opportunities to see Jennifer play? The only time I actually saw her play was last year in Rome.

Yes, I had the chance to see Jennifer play 3 times last year. I went to Berlin (4 days), to Roland Garros (2 days) and to Zurich!
You're right, the ground tickets aren't that bad. You're able to see many doubles. For example, I had the chance to see Jennifer with her brother Steven playing mixed doubles on Court 3.

I hope you'll get the chance to see Davenport! I've seen her in Zurich and she's really great and she's in a very good form at the mo.

Well, all I can do is getting up very early and go to the stadium and try to get "cheap" tickets, otherwise I'll have to buy them on the black market. But yes, I know they are very expensive, I think they're about 100 Euro for Court Chatrier, and not even good seats!
However, we will be able to watch the players during their practice!

best wishes :wavey:

I hope I don't have problems to go, as things aren't looking to good lately (work things), because I have tickets from Monday-Sunday (first week) except for Wednesday.

Have you booked your tickets through the Roland Garros ticket office? Normally they should have sent you a letter by now to let you know whether or not you got them.

I you succeeded in getting tickets they should arrive next week, but it seems a lot of demands were turned down because they were sold out very early

if you HAD reveived the tickets, how much would you have paid?
cause you always get tickets on the black market (even cheaper that some ticket offices on the internet are!)

I'm sorry for you  . That ticket system is terrible. Past two years I've been unlucky with it too (Even having a Parisian ordering my tickets didn't help, filing the demand the very first day possible). :fiery:

However they will rethink the whole reservation system by next year. About time I'd say

I'm happy for you that it will probably change next year, but too bad I won't be around at the time.

Do you think it's good to look at the black market?

I don't think there will be strikes in the weekend and the chaos in traffic is already over. It was just hell last week.

A French friend told me that there's a strike on 25th May ;) (I hope not!)
