Sorry. I'm only allowed three insightful posts a month and I've already used them.

To bad for Eleni, she must feel left out there.

No, there's a show tune in this somewhere. It's probably already been written.

eleni is so under rated, and shes the most consistent out of the 3 of them...and she can gain more points in the next 3 weeks...elena b. and eleni d. to top ten!!!

That's nothing. You haven't been around 2-3 years at Sanex boards..
Every time someone wins something for the first time, she is instantly declared the next best thing..

You wouldn't believe what Internet tennis people used to say..

One year ago I was attacked by few posters here by simply saying that Hantuchova proved nothing yet.

In early 1997-1998 people were seriously discussing whether Martina Hingis and Anna Kournikova are going to be Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova of the next generation. And then someone would say - forget about these two - the next biggest name in tennis is Mirjana Lucic.

One thing I've learnt from these years, you should never make a conclusion about a player judging by a bried period of time. Wait an year, at least..

I don't know about that. Her results have been inconsistant and similar to the other two in 2003.

At least Dementieva finally had that breakthrough. Whether or not she rides the wave of that victory we won't know until she starts playing again.

ys Elena has been around awhile so it's too late to be calling her the next best thing........what you should have said was it's about time.......

I think Eleni Danilidou has the best chance of getting into the top ten and staying there! She needs to continue with her fitness and she can do it.

She can play on all surfaces and imho is underated.

I love all three of them, but even their most ardent fans have to admit that while they are all VERY talented, they are also all seriously flaky!!! Week in and week out, any one of them can lose to a local Wild Card :(, OR win the title :D (at least as of Sunday, when the final Elena snagged her first one).

This is what they have in common, then -- an amazing ability to get their fans' hopes WAY up , then let them WAY down .

Hey, it's a helluva fun rollercoaster ride! Get on and join the fun, everybody! GO ELENA! ELENI! ELENA! :D :D :D
