Elena showed exactly how to defeat Lindsay.

She moved exceptionally well and retrieved shots that would be winners against many opponents

AND

returned those shots aggressively.

Elena really went for it (43 winners) and played a smart, powerful offensive game.

She got Lindsay moving with angles combined with power and went for her BH and FH DTL and CC!

Jennifer is perfectly capable of doing that, so hopefully she'll take heed and go for a BIG shot even when on the defensive and incorprate angles into her strategy.

Elena is a taller girl and has a greater wingspan. Besides, as announcers rightfully said, Elena anticipated very well Lindsay's shots. It's not something you can "learn"..

And I wouldn't mind if Elena would learn from Jen how to win a couple of Slams...
