Some of you do this every time some good player wins an upper tier title. I think Daniela's been cursed by all the expectations everyone from the boards put on her after IW last year. Behave! :p

People will anyway... until whoever wins Warsaw, and then whoever wins Berlin, then Rome.

Oh I know they will and it's bloody annoying. If it was fun I'd laugh along but it's rather pathetic so I don't. Sometimes posters and their vanity can be a bit intolerable.

Sorry, can't help you here. I'm totally convinced that tomorrows winner will also win Roland Garros this year.

Neither player in the Final is realistically winning Roland Garros

ok i won't count her as one of the threats for the title, but i think people will now expect her to get to at least the 3rd round.

Besides Daniela Hamtuchova, other recipients of the 'WTAWorld Curse' in the past year are Iva Majoli (post FCC 2002) and Clarisa Fernandez (post FO 2002). Erm...what happened?

Look I think all these threads are stupid, I mean green clay is totally diffrent from the red stuff, its more like a hardcourt. Secondly, who knows Juju, Elena or Serena could all get ill or injured before the french.

Sam ever since Martina started her decline I haven't really had anything to cheer about or even discuss hence my posts being regulated to NT. Then there's the reality that the majority of GM topics are regurgitated every two months. Not very appealing either. Finally when posters who frequent GM got away from discussing tennis as a sport and began going on ad nauseum about players's clothes, hair and boyfriends, well, Sam, I reckon that told me all I needed to know about GM. Mind you, NT isn't consistently brimming with fun either but the bullshit there isn't as thick. ;)

Erm..I never heard YOUR assessment of your lunch date with Mark (cough).

"Ova" the next 5 years, I still think "the 2 Vera's" will outplay "the 2 Elena's". (As "the 2 Maria's" are BOTH pretty young, say 7 years cumutively in their case). Also, I wonder whether the media pressure is affecting Sharky (and Dinara due to who her brother is). (moved from a "less related" thread).

Well looks like Elena wont win the French Open lol

But anyway I gotta agree with Dani she has had a hugh weight on her shoulders but I think and hope Elena can handle it considering she's been on the tour for more years then Dani. I think I also have to blame the media on Dani too :(

I have an announcement to make...and I thought this was the perfect thread to do it.

Elena Dementieva will win Roland Garros!
