Well both are gonna go into this match in great form, after displaying scintilating power and accuracy in their quarterfinals against quality opponents.

Last time out at Indian Wells they turned arguably the best match of the year so far at Indian Wells. Clay suits Jenn better historically, but Lindsay seems to have come into the clay season with a new attitude this year - and it is working.

With the Belgians and Williams Sisters safe in the top 4, this is the battle for the legitimate world #5 :D

Who will win??

I know Jen won the French Open, blah blah blah, but it's not like she does anything differently on clay. She just bashes the ball. And so does Lindsay. The winner will be whoever does that better. both players seem to be in top form, so it should be a thrilling contest.

I think jen might get this one in three sets, but I'd love to be wrong.

This is so tough but I'll go with Jen; she seems hungry.

i think the clay will work to both of there advantages. it will slow down jen's serve to be even more attackable and same for lindsey. it will help jen though more because she will be on defense most of the time and it will be a lot easier with the ball not traveling as fast...so i will go with jen. king lindsay- jennifer is a wonderful clay court player because she slides better than mostly everyone. thats why i will pick jen, lindsey doesn't try to slide. go jen!

Jenn's game is more successful on clay because of her footwork and her speed. Its not that she does anything particluarly different to the way she plays on a hardcourt, but her superior retrieving powers, the ablity to sustain rallies, have made her a better clay exponent than Lindsay.

I don't know, brandon. I've never questioned Jennifer's movement, which I think is spectacular and really helps her on the dirt as you mentioned, but I think she just applies her hardcourt-refined game to the clay courts and get considerable success with it. Lindsay is attempting to do the same. The winner will be who does it better.

I think the surface makes no difference. The green clay has been playing fast and the balls have been bouncing fairly high for the past two weeks, so both are comfortable. I think it will be a closely-fought 3-setter, and will once again come down to the mental edge which Davenport has over Capriati. Remember the California Girl has a 8-2 record over the Floridian.

It think it will be close, it can be a two-setter (like 7-5 / 6-4), or a though three-setter (6-7 / 6-4 / 6-3)... But who will win, I really can 't give a prediction...

It should be Lindsay for the taking! she's been impressive losing only 5 games so far in this tourney... cappy performed well against raymond but she was given a test by MGM at the start.... i'll go with lindsay in 2 sets...

If Lindsay continues to be aggressive from the onset, then Jenny will have to step it up one notch. If not, she will go the wayside of Lindsay's first three opponents.

I agree also that Jenny is probably the better clay-court player, but she has not faced a calibur of player like Lindsay all week.

I hope Jenny can do this, but if Lindsay plays like she did against Patty is gonna be hard for jen to do anything about it. GOOD LUCK JEN!! I have to stay up till 2:15 to watch this match.

Jen in three sets.

Both have found success with their games in their last matches, but I think Jen's superior movement is gona be what turns this match around for her!!

Go Jen :D

I think Davey will win. Jenn's retrieving powers don't seem to bother Lindsay. If Lindsay attacks Cappy's serve in the same manner as IW, then Cappy will start on the defensive very quickly.

Lindsay in 3.

Davenport seems to be in better shape...but we all know how her mental state can let her down sometimes...I go with Capriati in three sets.

well seing that I think lindsay is playing much better than IW, and this is clay, in IW, lindsay was killing jens first or second serves (most of you all write off this amazing feet) but Lindsay is having no problem breaking Jen, she needs to do her best to hold her own on serve. And the fact that this is clay, will slow jen's serve down, and should be even easier for her to attack, but also, jen will have a better look to (just get the ball back in play) for lindsay serve and she won't be getting as many free points right off the bat, she will have to work/earn them.

But still, I say lindsay like 6-4 7-5. And based on their past matches, I personally feel lindsay is playing the best, we really didn't see the jennifer that should come out to win, if the jennifer that beat lindsay shows up, jennifer will definetly go down. She only had 8 errors, but only 14 winners, and Lisa had 30 errors, i think that had a lot to do with the score, and also lisa only came to net twice, that for sure isn't her game plan. But jen will have to hit around 30 or more winners, and have a decent low number of errors, if she wants any chance with davenport.
