What do you think are the strongest parts of particular players games? The weakest? (This has nothing to do with whether you like the player a lot, a little, or not at all). Also, the more specific the better. In other words, we'd all agree with Serena having a great serve, for example. Which kinds of her serves are best would say more. And since the players themselves are always looking to see what they can improve, it's not ragging on your favorites to critique their weaknesses.

Best-Backhand slice, strong fast first serve, consistent, great mover, good placement

Worst-Mental esp, against Venus and Kim, Low First Serve percentage, can be more susceptible to fatigue because of small stature

Strengths - mental toughness, flat+hard serve and groundies, drop shots
Weaknesses - variety (other than drop shot and occasional net foray), second serve (a topspin 2nd serve would help), shot selection.

Weaknesses - Movement (duh), poor attitude (sometimes, although not recently), confidence against Williams Sisters and Kim

I won't try to psychoanalyze Momo because about 7,222, 867 people have already. Re. her game: alot of muscle related injuries, be it quad strains (ever see her WITHOUT a thigh wrap?), the famous immovable neck thing, you name it. When healthy, she's fast and hits hard and accurately (often a foot or so inside a corner). But Amelie is apparently too proud 2B Emilie (Loit) now and then. (The latter is also coached by Loic Courteau, knows her limitations, and tries to compensate with "junkballs", as Serena found out @ the AO). Vs. the same opponent (Paris Indoor), Momo tried to "out-Serena" her in the final, for example trying a passing shot, not a defensive lob, with Serena up @ the net. Well, that pitch in the strike zone got teed off on like a fastball down the middle to Barry Bonds. Mix it up, Momo!

Serena Strenghts- her entire game, serve, forehand, backhand, net game
Weakenss- her errors are the only thing right now hindering her, seeing no-one has been attacking any particular part of her game over the past year

v
strenght- everything except..
weakenss- second serve, errors, and im not going to say her mental attitdue w/ serena, i personally think she is right there with her, its the errors they are messing her up. along w/ the second serve.

SerenaSlam, Serena's net game is a strength??

I remember quite a lot of volley errors and even overheaed errors from Serena in the past year. She always seems to mess up there. I would put it under her weakness categories.

ah, you could say it is, but then again you can say its a weekness, but i think serena's main problem is, she comes to net on some pretty stupid shots, but most of the time, when at net, she is either have hit a winner, or is really going to get a short ball

Serena's main weaknesses are lazy footwork and her half volleys. Her backhand volley is good while her forehand ones are weak. But she keeps coming in and will get better.

Just a fan of various players like the Belgians, Monica, Lindsay, Serena, Vera Zvonareva (the best of these Russian teens, it seems, not counting junior players or the very young Safina). Speaking of Monica, I think her serve should be more of a weapon, given her height, power, and accuracy. Am I overestimating that as a weakness?
