Molik makes Budapest final

AUSTRALIA's Alicia Molik has reached the final of the Budapest Grand Prix today with a straight sets win over Spain's Maria Sanchez Lorenzo.

Molik, who also reached the final in Sarasota earlier this month, will meet second seed Magui Serna as she chases a second career title.

The 22-year-old third seed, who won her first career title in Hobart in January, defeated Sanchez Lorenzo 6-4 6-4 in a tough match marked by continuing breaks of serve.

In the first set, Molik finally held her serve at 3-4 and went on to break Sanchez Lorenzo's serve to take a 5-4 lead.

She held on to her serve to win the set 6-4.

Molik made a disastrous start to the second set, losing four games in a row before regaining her concentration and winning six straight games to take the set 6-4.
