So does this confirm that Meghan's victory over Venus at Miami was a fluke?

no win over nay player is a fluke, meghan just played better that day than venus, plus that was hard court, this is clay, meghan's game is more suited for hardcourt!

it was no fluke. venus played shit and meghann played well and the scoreline reflected that. nobody believed me but i told you patty was coming around. she whipped matezvic and shaughnessy (in the two sets she won) and now she will do to lindsay what she did to her in zurich. remember that was indoors (lindsay best surface IMO) and this clay (patty's best surface) so don't by any means write this off as an easy passage to a latter round for davenport like serena and capriati did last year in charlseton.

Patty had 34 winners, 33 unforced errors and no doubles faults.....gonna be hard to beat! Patty also converted only 5 of 13 break-points so don't write this match off as shaughnessy not playing well.

Disappointing for Meghann, but she lots to great clay court player... Let's not forget Patty got to the finals on green clay in Charleston last year, beating Jen and Serena on the way......

Congrats Patty.
