:wavey: I have been away for a few days (Relaxing and painting in the Highlands of Vic...was awesome)

Anyhow....

a) Has Alicia been beaten yet? All I could find at the sanex site was her first round win with loss of 3 games.

b) If she is still in the draw (as I expect she would be)...can she win her second title this season already?

I havn't checked out the WTA site to hit the website for the tourney....I know I asked for the last Aussie Lady to win a Clay-Court event....No-One knows....someone said Wendy Turnbull....it's hard to tell....I know Nicole Bradtke (Nee Provis) won a tourney in Europe but doesn't show on her record  :wavey:

Alicia will play her QF match tomorrow against 16yr old Slovak Jarmila Gajdsova(sp)...

I would love for her or Petra to win the title...

I want Alicia in the Top 20 by years end...

Alicia is into the QF I believe, with a 6-1 6-2 victory over Cohen Aloro.
I think she definitely has a shot to win it, shes probably my pick now.
Its funny coz i read an article after the AO, it was meant to be humourous and joked about Alicia winning the 'Alicia Slam', Hobart, Budapest, Bratislava etc, and shes already on her way to that now!

LOL :wavey: The funny thing is she only wants to get her ranking up to play the big europe indoors at the end of the year....already giving form to show she may be dangerous :D  :bounce:

She needs to find a partner that gels with her...

I agree....she needs to play with a ground-stroker who can pick off weak returns. Alicia tends to rather play with friends...(or Martina x 1....who would refuse that offer?)

Although it wouldn't happen (Maybe)....how about Davenport/Molik??? Not out of the question....Lisa/Lindsay and Renee are great friends....I'm sure Alica is part there-of too with fed-cup etc :wavey:

I think that she will definately get to the final, and will encounter either Petra Mandula or Magui Serna, where hopefully Magui will win.

She played well at doubles in Hopman Cup, which shows that she has the ability. Maybe if she can get a partner as good as Hewitt she'll get better results lol. Preferably not one of the current Aussie girls.
