If you could pick ANY match-up, what would it be and on what surface? (recent players!)

My pick:

Justine Henin-Hardenne vs Martina Hingis on rebound ace!

bielik vs molik on us hardcourt.

your match up is pretty good

i'd also like to see douchevina vs zvonareva on us hardcourt and sharapova vs golovin also on us hardcourt.

but i'd say bielik vs molik would be my first choice because they have very alike games (as far as i can see).

Well this isn't recent but here's mine:

Tracy Austin (prime) vs. Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario (prime)

Tracy was the ONLY #1 ranked player Arantxa has never played and I would die to see this match! There was also a debate when Arantxa retired in who was the better player in history. Of course it's Arantxa ;) but I would love to see a clearup if they got to play each other in their prime :D

singles I don't have a good one, but doubles...

Jcap and Justine Vs. Williams on red clay
Kim and Justine Vs. Williams on grass
and ASV+Jcap Vs. Monica Seles and Steffi Graf on Indoor

Monica (prime) vs. Serena (now) they haven't played since that great match in 2001, but I think this would be the best and most entertaining matchup yet.

Also, Venus 2000? I would much rather have Venus 2003 (seeing in 2000 we still weren't sure what venus would show up, but still would win)

So I say Venus 2000 vs. BJK (prime) sorry but BJK wouldn't know what to do, big Serves, and the power, her volleys would cumble very quickly, and have not that many chances to come in :)

Doubles, Id love to see Pam Shriver/Navratilova (prime) vs. Williams/Wililams (prime) both playing their best. Williams/Williams 6-1 6-2

My pick:

Justine Henin-Hardenne vs Martina Hingis on rebound ace!

This match took place at the 2000 Australian Open. Martina won 6-0, 6-3 or was it 6-3, 6-3?

Hingis/Seles vs Williams/Williams. They played some great matches against each other! Imagine, Martina and Monica won their first match as a pair against the reigning Wimbledon, US Open and Olympic champs, who got their revenge 2 weeks later in the AO semifinals, which led them to their first AO doubles title.
