last yr
8 MD 8 QD
MD WC
Wheeler (AUS)
Fusai
Bartoli
Andretto
Pierce
Pin
Sidot
Cohen-Aloro

8 QD WC
Morel
Golovin
Beltrame
Erre
Besecond
Rizzi
Sanchez
Dulon

this yr.......
i believe they are leave 2 MD WC out from French
one to Aussie and the other to Bristish
probably Stotur and the other to Baltacha

right now there are 9 French players in TOP 100,
all of whom should be able to hold on to the direct entry ranking

so 6 MD/8 QD WC left Andretto/Morel hasnt played since last October,
Pin, Beigbeder, Fusai, Dulon, Beltrame, Lefevre, Rizzi, Heitz, Rousseau, Sanchez
these 10 players are all in TOP 300
Golovin, Laurendon are in TOP 350....
so these 12 should be able to get the 14 WC offered,
and if Andretto and Morel want to play, they should round that up,

but to round up TOP 400
Erre, Le Bescond, Dhenin probable WC reciever......

so i 'm guessing the 6 MD WC will be given out to
Pin, Beigbeder, Fusai, Dulon, Beltrme, Golovin
Beltrame, Lefvre is in QD by own ranking, so
Rizzi, heitz, Rousseau, Sanchez, Andretto/Morel, Err, Le Bsecond,
and posible Dhenin should be able to receive the WC to QD....

is this how it will go down?

What about Virginne Pichet??? She is more deserving that Capuccine Rousseau!

Its probably going to be Keoathovong who recives the WC for UK, as I dont think Baltcha has played since the Aus Open.

Foretz could fall out of DA, so she would obviously get one.

baltacha has played since the oz open. she has played some challenger events and was struggling in them. she only one a few matches didn't cause any waves. anne on the other hand did quite well iin the challengers. i've never seen anne play but i've seen baltacha. baltacha is quite talented but she is inconsistent, i'm surprised how much she has struggled since wimbledon i thought that she would at least be able to dominate on the cahllenger circuit. on form anne is the better pick but it's a close call.

Elena has a rare illness, I can't remember what though? Also Anne beat Elena last time they met which may work in her favour. She is also British National Champion.

elena had liver damage which is meant to take up to 2 years to fully recover from and that was diagnosesd toward the end of last year so i think she is about 5 or 6 months into that. but yea she does have that on her mind and it would also hamper her performance because she gets less training in because of her low energy levels.

Apparently when the Liver was at its worst, George Bests was in better condition!

I think this Mondays rank was used for French list so Foretz should be safe in the MD...

I just read that Evie got the French Open Wc because she was the highest ranked Aussie that did not make the cut off...

Even tho she has 3rd round pts to defend, I think Stosur would have a bit showing :fiery:

If Evie entering without the wildcard and it goes to Christina Wheeler according to Dr. Janet Young.

Evie is ranked 105, isnt the cut off usually 108? If so then she is in and wont need the WC.

And yes Christina Wheeler will get it if Evie doesn't require it...they are saving Stosur for Wimbledon (I think she has WC restrictions and cant get RG as well even though she's more deserving than Christina)

Is there definitely a wildcard exchange between Wimbledon and Roland Garros??? I knew it was a possibility, but not certain.

If so, then Keothavong should get it, failing that O'Donoghue.

oh man...Christina?........i was hoping it would be Rachel
if Stosur cant get it.....:(
why would they save Stosur for Wimbledon?
she did quite well in Australian Open i thought,
so shouldnt her surface be slow rather than grass?

Anne K should get the British WC and probably lose 1R anyways.....:)
personally hoping to see Tatiana in MD

Give the British one to Baltacha, I'm not biased but she is the British number 1

Elena can't get it - she'd be a fool to accept it.

She is only allowed 3 main darw wild cards into WTA events in a year.

She has already used up one for Oz Open, leaving 2.

One of which has to be Wimbledon, leaving 1.

She should use it to play the main draw in either Birmingham or Eastbourne.

If there is a British wild card for here (i never knew there was!) it should go to Anne.

Elena is too smart to waste a valueable wild card here, and anyway, she would rather loose in qualies and get an extra week to prepare for Surbiton which she could actually win!!
