I once read a newspaper that described Elena as:Blond and attractive, but quiet and shy.
I haven't saw Elena for many times so I don't know much about Elena's personalities. Is she really quiet and shy?In fact,I think Elena is not shy. Some of you can always see her, right? How do you think? When she is on court, she is so aggressive and always shouts.Agree? ;)

She does seem more shy than some players, but I don't think she's as shy now as she used to be.
She has grown up and knows more about the world etc, so I see no real reason as to why she'd still be very shy.

I think she's just modest and quiet, and people often take that to mean shy. I'm quiet, but not shy (not normally shy anyway).

Yeh,I do think Elena is modest but not shy.I really love her shouting on the court. However, she lacks of confidence and concentration sometimes.

I think it's more because she looks so shy and demure that people think that.

Elena is not shy at all. In fact, she likes attention and is very outgoing person, but with people that she knows. The only reason she seems to be quiet is because she knows the manners, and is not screaming for attention as some others do.

Elena looks demure but her appearance draws our attention. She is a very striking blonde, isn't she? :)
In my opinion,Elena looked quite shy and quiet when I noticed her but soon I didn't think so.After I have seen Elena,I think she is cute(in personality).See her reaction after losing one point? ;)
Besides,I think Elena is very nice. She likes interacting with fans. She does not refuse signing autographs or having photos taken with fans.
Don't you think Elena is likable? :hearts:

I've never met Elena, so I don't know if she is too nice to get mad.
But I want her to go into Wimbledon focused and mean.
I know Elena can play really, really good tennis, and this would be the best tournament to do it.
If she can get to Serena, and play like she did at AI, and if Serena is a little bit off form that day, Elena could make her biggest headlines yet.

I think the reason I like Elena is because she is shy. When Elena had those great results in 2000, that's when Anna became such a huge superstar in the United States. If I was Elena, at the 2000 Chase Championships, I would have told the U.S. media that Anna and I were like twins. Russian, blonde, beautiful tennis stars, hey Adidas, call me!
But Elena was so self-effacing and acted like she didn't want to be rich and famous.

A: This is, pardon me, private matter.

I think Elena is modest and very private about her personal life. She seemed friendly enough in BMH although I was to afraid to talk to her myself.

There are two words in the left upper corner- официальный сайт.
It means - official site. :)

Maybe they just did not put it away. It`s not easy to create a new design. I`ll try to get some information later.

In other words, interviewer wants to know Lena's opinion about tennis players having sex before the matches.
According to interviewer, some players claim that it helps them to achieve better results.

Lena refuses to discuss that, explaining that it is private matter.
Is it more understandable now?

If you asked a question like that in the US... you'd probably receive a sexual harassment suit. It just shocked me when I read that. :)

When Elena says that she hates to play on the grass, does she mean her footing? Elena has great doubles results, powerful groundstrokes, great court coverage, and is very strong mentally (at least she was at Amelia Island). I don't see, I know about her serve, why she can't play well this week.
