Wow, what a day...Ive been up and about since 6 this morning and boy am I tired.

You know the drill, just sit right back and youll hear a tale, a tale of.....

So I got to the park at around 11 this morning and had already printed out a copy of the tennis schedule since the park has now decided to charge $1 for a schedule of play (they really want to milk you for every little dime and penny :o)

So I really wanted to make sure I saw the Grosjean - Fish matchup. I quickly paced over towards the grandstand and along my way I saw Amelie practicing on one of the nearby courts. My god does that woman have a rock hard body. Its so sculpted...her abs, her arms, legs everything. I took a few photos and admired for a couple of minutes and went on my way.

So I get my seat right in the middle of the first set and Seb was already down a break. He evened it up and then lost his serve again and unfortunately the set. Both his ankles were strapped so I dont know if it was just precautionary or something was bothering him. In any case he wasnt really playing his game which is why he lost the first. The second set was better but still Seb wasnt hitting his strokes right. Fish was doing his part by serving bombers and taking to Sebby. When the tiebreak came I was really rooting for him but he couldnt come up with the goods, and Mardy was able to win it (blech). In the second set Mardy's serve was called out and he started to have a hissy-fit because he believed it was in. I was waiting for him to start hitting the umpire's chari but alas it wasnt meant to be.

Next up was Monica, I couldnt wait. I was excited and pumped and ready to cheer her on, when the announcer came over the speaker and announced Monica had pulled out of the tournamnet because she hurt her ankle during practice. I was in shock. She was replaced by Evie Dominikovic. I couldnt believe Monica hurt herself. Then this couple beside me started to say how that was odd because they saw her during practice and said she looked fine. In any case I didnt want to watch the Bartoli - Dominikovic matchup.

I left the grandstand and wandered the grounds some more trying to see who was on the practice courts. I ran into a small crowd on one of the courts and it was ALbert Costa and Roddick practicing. I took a few snapshots of the two of them. Roddick was messing up a lot during the practice and kept apologising to Albert (I guess this is why his first matchup was a tough one :o). So I grew tired of those two and saw Schalken practicing with his coach and got a few more pictures. Then on one other court I saw Jarkko and Enquist practicing (whtout their shirts on no less) So I took a few pictures of those two (Hackie youll be so happy :)) Jarkko wasnt really playing to well. He was getting upset with himself, but Enquist was striking the ball pretty well.

I then moved over to the Hantuchova - Molik match at the start of the second set. I actually left the court when Daniela was up 5-2 :o .....shoulda stayed since she had a miserable letdown and lost that.

I spied on the Zuluaga, and Malisse match but didnt stay since all the seats were taken. I then decided I would go back to the grandstand and catch the Dementieva - Pratt match. So I walked over there and to my surprise Dominikovic and Bartoli were still playing. It was an okay matchup. Bartoli doesnt really mix her shots up often, but she really didnt have to since Dominikovic wasnt pressuring her. Evie, lost the second set tiebreak and you could tell she was upset by that. Right at the beginning of the third she called the trainer for blisters and basically stopped moving and handed the match to Bartoli. Evie was really upset because she told Bartoli's fan (who Im pretty sure was her coach to shut up :o).

Waited for a little and then the Dementieva - Pratt match started. I was a little shocked as to how poorly Elena was playing. Her serve was a complete joke as all she did was arm that thing in. She has little service motion and what power she does get is generated right from her shoulder. It was awful but her groundies were decent, but Pratt, wow. She struck that ball wonderfully today. I didnt know Nicole can hit so hard. The match was definitely entertaining when they started to get rallies going. Unfortunately, Dementieva normally lost those points :( That ended and I got a few good close up pics of Pratt. Then I quickly strolled outside to see Dinara practicing on the nearby court. I got a few pictures of her.

I ran back in to take a seat right behind the court in the second row since Juanqui's matchup was coming on next. A nice audience showed up and was clearly rooting for Juanqui. This girl that was sitting next to me was fanatical about Juan Carlos. She had this weird articel she wrote about him and wanted him to sign and was draping herself in the Spanihs flag. Kinda strange but hey to each their own :D

Juanqui starts up and just played absolutely fabulous. He struck the ball so well and his serve was really working. His movement was on and I couldnt see any sign of the ankle injury. I got wonderful close-up pictures of him that Im sure Rebecca and all will love. :):D

After Juanqui's match I decided to stay put and catch the first set of Jelena's match. Svetlana is a very good player and she struck the ball well, but her inexperience tended to show itself during points in that first set. She had numerous opportunites against Dokic but just couldnt capitalize and made some errors and paid the price. I didnt stay for the second set since I knew Jelena was going to keep it up and it looked like Svetlana had lost the will. I got some good close-ups of the two of them. Svetlana is very pretty in the face :p

After that match I worked my way around the grounds again and didnt see anyone of interest. I was going to step in on the Ginepri - Corretja match when I ran into Daniel :p We spoke and then caught the Serena - Schiavone match. That first set was pretty good since Francesca was hitting the ball just as hard as Serena but just couldnt keep it up and Serena just went into a nice cruise control and beat her. The shots Serena can make a really great. She just generates so much power off both wings its truly amazing to witness.

So that was my day I think Im leaving something out but I really cant remember since Im falling asleep at the keyboard. Im going to be at the tourney all day tomorrow so I will try to upload the pictures from today and yesterday evening tomorrow (I hope!) Take care guys.

Well, maybe he follows that 'bad practice, great match' rule because he demolished Clement today. I hope you were able to see that match.

 You're adorable, LOL :) Thanks for stalking Jarkko for me :o
