I know itis only March, but the year is one third gone now, so I was just woondering who u would all pick for the field at LA

My picks (in no particular order)

Kim
Serena
Venus
Lindsay
Justine
Amelie
Jennifer
Monica (i'm predicting she will do well in the slams)

Reserve either Rubin or Hantuchova

What do you all think :)

hey, this is my first post. i've been reading around on quite a few threads, but i have yet to post. i'm a rilly big monica fan (i bet u are thinking... great, another one of those), but ill try to be good.

2 venus
3 kim
4 davenport
5 justine
6 jen
7 monica (she hasn't played well and is 14th right now... shes only going to go up)
8 amelie, dani, or chanda.... maybe myskina

I would say Serena, Venus, Kim, Justine and Lindsay look pretty damn good. I also think Jennifer will pick it up and be there. After that, it's a little more dodgy.

Amelie will be there if she can overcome her injuries, which is no sure thing. if history tells us anything, it's that Monica will finish in the top 8, barring injury. of course, she's been hurt enough to make it possible she won't. Plus, dokic could get hot, hantuchova could bust out, bovina could emerge, myskina might continue improving .... it's difficult to say.

but it will sure be fun ;) i'm dying to see how this experiment works out.

jelena, dani will have to play much better than what they are playing now to have a chance

The question is whether the all eight top players will be healthy enough to play at the end of the year. Hasn't happened since 1997!
