they are both hot so i don't have a favourtie based on that.

i've been following both players for over 2 years so i don't have a sentimental favourite.

both players are inconsistent.

they can both play at the top level.

they both have powerul games.

i had this sort of problem with iroda's first match where i couldn't pic one that i wanted to win more and i have the same trouble here.

i want both to improve their rankings. i really want bovina to get ahead of daniilidou but i also want iroda to do well here.

and i would like to see both of them play dementieva.

i have to pic bovina. i think she has more of a chance against serena than tulyaganova and it would be nice to see an all russian 3rd round. any all russian encounter is a good one.

Since i am not a tennis person from childhood, I can`t discuss all the details in a match. I am facinated by Tulyaganovas ability to be powerfull and elegant in her play. :worship:

Bovina knows how hard Iroda hits the ball. In a double match Iroda hit her where she is highest when picking potatoes. Guess that hurt!

Iroda, should have a advantage by her experience, and she has lowered her numbers of UE. She need to get more first serves inn though. In her two last matches it has been on 34% and 47%.

I was readig Wetheims collum this week on cnnsi.com and someone said that Elena B and Reece Witherspoon look very similar, I have to say I follow this.

The match was in fact following much the same pattern as Iroda`s matches in Indian Open, but there against not so famous players. In the third round(?) there she lost the first set, and was 0-4 down the second before she won 12 sets in a row, and nearly lost a ball in the progress :)
A year ago, and that is not a very long time,Tulyaganova was ranked as high as Bovina is now :wavey:
