For Monica to win her tenth GS title?

Or for Kim to win her first?

Definitely a new champion. The more marquee names, the better for the sport.

Interesting...

I would like both to happen, but if I had to choose what would be best for tennis, I would pick Monica winning her 10th GS.

short term it would be best for monica to win but long term it would be better for kim.

Hmm...hard question. I would say Monica only b/c she is more in the twilight of her career and at this point it is unexpected.

However, I think most people agree that Kim WILL win a slam, its just a matter of when.

have to go with kim winning. if monica won her tenth, it would be a huge story, receive a great deal of press, but seles is unlikely to play too much longer so i don't know how much long-term gain they would get out of it (as somebody said).

if kim wins, finally the WTA can hold her up as the challenger to williams sisters, the next superstar of women's tennis.

My favourite question. It's tough, because both would be huge for tennis. I'd have to go with the "Monica Renaissance", because I think it would bring back a lot of fans who left. Kim's 1st would probably be noticed mostly by just current fans.

Kim is so young she has over ten years to make it happen. Sadly monica doesnt have that much time to score number ten.

Hmm at this point though for some people it wouldn't matter who won a grandslam as long as their name wasn't serena williams.

Monica winning her 0th. it has more depth and amazement to it that #1 for Clijsters, but i mean we all know that Clijsters will win a GS title, so that just makes the possibility of a 10th one for Monica even greater

Kim winning a Grand Slam would be great for Australian tennis. People are losing interest in the womens game. We don't have any stars(unless you count Molik's rising star) of our own, so we have to adopt.

But seeing Monica win a 10th would be great for older fans.
