You just can't get enough of tennis, it is just such an exciting sport, better than any others, I think. Plus, Lleyton and Kimmy make it better as well!:D
Plus, tennis is just in my blood. My mom and dad played tennis, and now I hold the torch!

I really really like playing tennis, it's my favourite occupation. I can't life without tennis, that's for sure.
I like watching tennis too of course.
I'm really excited when Anna Kournikova, Justine, Kim, Elke, Olivier Rochus or any Belgian player plays.

i like it so much because players at the age of 15 can still compete with players in their 30's. the age of a pro player is so wide that it makes it exciting. that a nd the fact that there is always someone new coming in from juniors that is hyped to be a big thing and they have to prove to everyone that they have the stuff and the exciting thing about that is that there are so many ways in which they can prove themselves.

I am literally a fanatic of the professional tennis game. I'm a natural athlete and I enjoy playing raquetball. But, I would rather watch professional tennis than play the sport. I like the international and individual aspect of the game. I like the fact that such a diverse group of people and ages have the potential to be champions. I like the sound of the ball being slammed back and forth across the net. I like the way a typical tennis crowd acts in unison - the collective sighs at big moments and clapping for superior shots regardless of which opponent makes it. I especially like matches where there is no "loser", just two superior athletes gutting it out on the court and showing mutual respect for one another. I like how the players abide by the umpire's call for the most part. Eventhough you see bad calls, a champion rises above it and lets their play do the talking. I like the handshakes at the end of a match. I like the ever changing nature of the game like new champions, fashions, diversity, grips and equipment and the way it meshes with the "sameness" of the game-the history, the basics, and tradition. I hope I'm able to enjoy it for many years to come.

What I like about it is that it's a one-on-one sport. I personally feel there's far too many team sports out there. On the court it's just you and your opponent, and a coupla' 3 sets later, it's evident who's better.
Yes, I know I'm ignoring doubles here, but singles tennis is what it's all about. There's none of the multi-million dollar contracts to get players on the team, there's no signing bonuses, for the pros it's quite simple: Perform or starve. (Granted, I'm ignoring endorsements, but they're something else.)
And when you win, be it that easy 6-2, 6-1, or a 3-set tiebreaker match, the feeling of personal acheivement is more that any football or baseball, or basketball, or hockey play can ever feel, because it was all you, your athleticism, and personal fortitude that got you through it.
And looking at Dani's incredible legs ain't so bad, either!

I like the pat pat pat of the bat against the ball.

Martina got me started and interested to the level where I'm on this board and following tournaments daily, but now I also have other players I like to watch and that I'm interested in. I don't know how to play for shit, But I love a good shot when I see one.
