Maria has another winnable match against Els...and then Dechy whom she should easily overpower...

BK4ever, what do you think about Sharapova's chance against Dechy. Probably no chance. If she played the way she did against Maleeva in Hong Kong Challenge, why not! She would have a good chance. It's depends how Maria can handle her nerve.

But first, she has to beat Els Callens, the oldest player in the draw probably... 15 yrs old vs. 32 yrs old. Interesting!

Anna's match vs Dinara should be a good one to see,

kournikova needs to be thrown out to the trash, if you are talking about exciting. Kournikova hasn't won since when? And i believe the tournie orginizers know she will be going out in the first round. Safina ain't no joke. Cleary she is a much better player that Anna. Safina will win this like 6-2 6-1.

I say Kuznetsova vs Ruano is the most exciting.

The most interesting match will be Serena against Bye due to their last match up when Serena bolted and left town due to the tenditis. If Serena gets past bye then it'll be an easy ride from there on. It's funny how Venus seems to handle bye's game but this is one player serena seems unable to handle......that is the most interesting match...too bad it won't be televised.

In all seriousness, I say the Kournikova-Safina match will be the most interesting since it will be the passing of the torch from old bombshell to new bombshell.

Too bad espn won't televise it.

i know, i know. i know how much it irks you that despite a relatively poor performance anna has been showing lately, her matches are still the most exciting. get over it because it will stay that way for a long time. but you can pray to the tennis gods that it won't. :p
