Where is he? There was talk about him in the off-season. But, after that, nothing AFAIK.

No coach has been mentioned. Just a hitting partner and can't remember his name.

Hi,

His name is Andreas. I don't know what happened to David from South Affrica who we read about in that article some time ago.

Where did you find out about this Andreas guy?

Does anyone know if Monica is going to get a coach?

A little worrying that there's no official word on anyone other than a 'hitting partner'....

We all know how particular Monica is when it comes to coaches...with the two years she's ostensibly got left (according to her own timetable), might this mean she's going to go it alone from this point forward?

Calling Harold Solomon!

Thanks, Seles, for the info, by the way! :wavey:

The way I see it is Monica has pretty much learned everything she is going to learn, so if anything she just needs a hitting partner and someone to work with her on fitness. I hope eventually whenever she does retire, she herself becomes a coach... how awesome would that be to have Monica around teaching all the kids that grew up admiring her???

Best of luck in Miami, let the upsets roll!!!!!!!!!! :)

she admits that she is very picky about her coaches AND hitting partners. she had both when her father was live, and she said once she had to have a "hitting partner" she was always upset because they could never give her enough serves. she said her dad could hit 1000 serves a day, and now she is lucky to be able to return 300. i do think she needs to hire an ex female prison guard to be her fitness caoch, but i don't really think she needs a real coach unless she wants one. like she says in her tennis magazine interview, "I just need someone to hit with."

I think Monica is good without a coach...Of course what she needs the most right now is a fitness trainer to motivate her day in-day out, especially with these injuries. But I'd like to see a coach come in and make her a more complete player...Oh well...She probably doesn't see the need as a veteran who's won so much...
