What a close one! 6-4 4-6 6-4 was the final scoreline and it sounded like one hell of a match. Just a few points in it really.

Btw, hope Jen's left thigh injury ain't too serious.

 I had someone tape the match last night because I don't get ESPN. Now I almost don't have the heart to watch it. But I will because it sounds like it was a really great match. Good luck next tournament Jen!!

 I was gutted when I seen the result this morning

But as the scoreline shows, it was a really close match and Jen played well from what I seen on Eurosport News. Shame she had to lose

But we still love her! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

She's going to win that Miami title so she is! Give herself a nice birthday present :hearts: :p  :worship: :bounce:

It was a great match and Jen came soclose! It ended at almost 2am here and I stayed awake the whole time hoping for a Jen win (okay I was drinking vodka tonic as well).

I was bummed last night after it was over, but it was a wonderful effort and I am feeling god about Miami, which brings out the best in jen.

LOL, we'll see! :p Nah, just kidding, in future I WILL stay up, although she had better win next time. I still haven't slept since 04:30 and I think as soon as my mum gets home with a bottle of wine I am off to the land of nod. :p

 was truly pulling for Jenn although I like LD too. but, she was moving really well, and I think there's a lot to be positive about. She was hitting the ball on the fly with some GREAT winners. Definitely looking closer to AO 2001 form, I think, than she has in a while. So there's stuff to be positive about. :)

Remember that many of their previous meetings have resulted in three-setters where Jenn has been losing momentum in the final set, after her winning a tight second. This was obviously not the case this time.

I feel that shes getting stronger each tournament :D

I saw nothing but positives in Jen's play, even without a vodka tonic ;)
Her serve was more consisitent than usual. Once she wins a close-one we'll be able to say
"the bitch is back". When that happens-watch out!

I was disappointed, but I have to hand it to Lindsay; She played great. After I thought about it, I realized Jen put up a great effort and it was very close, so it could have gone either way.

I think it's a good sign of things to come. Hopefully Jen can just find that extra gear and it will all come together!

Mar 18th, 2003, 04:02 AM
Yeah Rollo I want the beee-otch back as well. Maybe Jen will have a few outbursts in Miami to rev into high gear.

"Call the f*cking referee"
"Shut that gnarly baby up, lady"
"it's my f*cking birthday and I am gonna rip your weave out, Serena!"

...cue Elton John! :wavey:

LOL@Keith and Mark's Cue up Elton John:) When I was in school "The Bitch is Back" was the favorite song of a friend of mine-and she insist that we play it when she entered a party! Her nickanme was "no-Neck" Kelly-and I swear to God she had no neck, but a lot of balls...

Good luck to Jen in Miami. If she has to be snappy to win and make us happy than so be it.
