Does anyone have the inside scoop on her injury? I hope she's better for Miami. If she misses both Indian Wells and Miami, she may be out of the top 10 again [she has SF to defend at both]

Yes, the post on this in General Messages indicates she'll fall to #12 after Indian Wells. She's been lower than this before, but only after a long injury layoff  ....
She may yet play Miami, but if she doesn't, it means she has 4 weeks to rest her foot and (I hope and pray) get a bit fitter for the clay season, where she has virtually no points to defend (except Madrid, right before the FO). She could possibly rise to the top 8 by then, depending on how she progresses....
But this is a real worry, as you'd think she wouldn't be able to practice at all with the foot problem, thereby compounding any fitness/rustiness issues  .
Normally I'm very positive about Monica and I refuse to let this get me down, as I'm sure Monica herself will be realistic and reasonable about all of this ;) .
So, keep the faith, Selestials, and GO MONICA!!!! :wavey:
