For anyone who may be interested, I can now make Tennis matches available on DVD. These DVD's should play back in most DVD Players and they are made on high quality TDK discs. The programmes are recorded from digital Television so excellent quality.

Some of the recent matches I have include:

2003 Dubai:
Seles b Mauresmo
Henin b Seles

2003 Scottsdale
Sugiyama b Clijsters

2003 Aussie Open:
XD Final - Navratilova/Paes b Woodbridge/Daniilidou + Pres
WS Final - S.Williams b V.Williams + Pres
WD Final - S & V Williams b Ruana-Pascual/Suarez

Williams Sisters on Oprah - 42 minutes commercial free

If anyone is interested in any of these DVD's or any from the forthcoming tournaments, you can email me at:
tennisvideos1@bigpond.com

I also have quite a few matches from the past that I can convert from Video to DVD.

Very soon, Sports Resources will have DVD Recording facilities and then the entire video collection that they have will be available on DVD. Their website is: http://www.users.bigpond.com/tennisvideos1/

I will let you know when they have DVD Recording media... but I expect it to be about another 10-12 weeks.

Craig :)

Hi SM

I am just offering some DVD's until Sports Resources get equipped... which could be about 10-12 weeks or so away.

I have lots of Seles matches I could convert to DVD. And I have some Dokic matches. Also lots of other players since 1980 - Rafter, Hewitt, Evert, Navratilova etc etc.

I have kept copies of a lot of the best finals and my fave players of the last 20 years, but Sports Resources have the full collection. But as mentioned, because they don't have DVD Recording yet, and I do, I can offer DVD's of the matches that I have in my more limited collection.

Sports Resources have about 2000 matches in the library, and at this stage I have copies of about 200.

If you want I can go thru my tapes and let you know what I have of Dokic and Seles.

The matches I mentioned above are the ones that I have recorded direct from digital TV to DVD. So beautiful quality. My other matches are on VHS and I can convert them to DVD but the quality won't be as good as the ones listed above. The quality will only be as good as the original (or source) that I record from. Hope this makes sense.

Craig :)

Do you have any Capriati matches from 2001? Any of the majors from that year or the miami final against venus would be great to see.

My other matches are on VHS and I can convert them to DVD but the quality won't be as good as the ones listed above.

I've always wanted tennis DVD's and have often wondered why they don't make more.

If you have any of these matches please let me know: Seles vs. Graf (Berlin 90, French Open 90, French Open 92).

Wow, so many questions. OK first of all the DVDs are DVD-R. But once I finalise the disc and send it to you, it then becomes DVD Video - just like a DVD movie. So should be able to play in just about any DVD player.

And I can make it in NTSC for America or PAL for Europe and Australia. So it plays on your TV's OK.

Got your email and you have a reply! You can expect your first 4 DVD's of Jelena very soon... and I am sure you will enjoy watching them in the car. Personally, I would probably get car sick watching them in a car!

Hi Bezza

Generally, to get the best quality, it's best to put 2 hours on one disc. You can go up to about 2 1/2 hours and it's still very good quality, but after that it starts to lose quality.

So you can put 2 matches on one disc if they add up to less than about 140 or 150 minutes.

Hingis-Seles - yes, these ones I listed are just some of the copies I have kept for myself as I love these matches the most. But as mentioned, Karen from Sports Resources has all these plus about 2000 more! She's great isn't she. I gave her my tapes to help her business out. I get a little out of it but it really just covers my expenses.
