Congrats indeed....she deserved it and she was obviously so happy....she cried when talking about her mother....nice :)

As a devoted Kimfan I was really disappointed in her performance today :(...;She was playing like crap ...but I guess we were a bit spoiled last couple of months ;) I hope she gets things back together at IW :D

Congrats Ai  It was well deserved :)

I was one of those shameless fans that predicted a Serena/Kim final giving Serena the edge. When Serena withdrew, i was so sure kim had it with a bit of resistance offered by Lindsay. Boy was I wrong! I need to pay more respect to all players in the draw. Anyway big lesson learnt there but only for a week. Onto IW now for a Kim/Jennifer final (draw permitting). ;) :D
Well done Ai.

Congratulations Ai!! Wow, and on legs that had already played more than two hours of tennis

 Kim, better luck next time.

Great performance Ai! Although Kim is my number one, you are fast becoming my number two - so I'm not too disappointed. :|

Only a little bit disappointed with Kim's play: she was making waaay too many errors :( . But that doesn't mean Ai didn't deserve that win - she did, so congats Ai!! :)

Though I love Lindsay more than anyone & was very disappointed with her 2nd round defeat, Ai's strength of spirit & determination clearly set her apart during the entire tournament. What a wonderful testament to the unique beauty of this sport & its players. Congratulations Ai. :worship:

wow, very amazing indeed. Congrats to her.

Sometimes I get the feeling that that head-in-your-face approach Kim seems to try to take on the tennis court(figuratively speaking of course), reminiscent of Lleyton, just doesn't fit her the way it fits him so she just seems to kinda fall apart at times.

Mar 3rd, 2003, 06:15 AM
Congrats Ai. I didn't see the final set, I did see the first two sets. It thought it was a beautiful match.
