i don't know if this is feasable, but just like wtaworld created atpworld, maybe it could create a board just for live scores and then ban live scores on this board. it's just a thought

We just need to assign someone to do the scores on a regular html page that automatically refreshes. We could still discuss the results on the board, but we would not have the problem of people refreshing the board every 5 seconds.

Or create a java applet that can be launched from wtaworld.com in a new small window that will autmatically refresh when there is a new score.

This is kind of what we plan on doing. We will provide a private website area for a scorer to post live scores and you'll all have access to it from WTAworld. The question is will be people be bothered to post a message and ask for access to the live scoring auditorium? :)

Yes, but the Grand Slams have constant scoring updates on the site... but people still posted scores here, and constant "GO BLAH!" posts.

Sad but true. I wonder if there's anything we can do to remove the temptation to post live scoring threads.
