OK, let's be honest, if I'm going to have a winning streak on the tour I'm going to choose Serena's.

But those of us who frequent the Challenger forums are very aware this year of 18 year old Croat Karolina Sprem who has played 19 matches on the very competitive Challenger circuit and won all nineteen of them in 2003. She has only lost one set so has won 38 out of 39 sets played. Pretty impressive. I'm looking for her to step up to the tier 4 and tier 5 Euro clay court events this spring.

and she lost this set to Vera Douchevina, right? in a tight match.

Yep, Vera's the only player to have tested her so far in 2003. Karolina beat her 6-3 5-7 6-4. Karolina won the Redbridge tournament today beating Olga Barabanschikova 6-3 6-2 in the final.

It really is very impressive, as all of us who regurlarly visit the Cahhlenger Forum will already know. Good Luck, lets hope she can keep it up.

Karolina has come out of virtually nowhere, to me.

I have seen her name a few times, here and there, most notably becase it does look like Sperm.

BUT, this 19-win streak is incredible. Good for her!

thanks for the information. we'll look for her in the top 100 some time in 2004. please describe her game (i don't want to assume that she's a baseliner).
